I'm a philosopher and cognitive scientist at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Barcelona, and at the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge. At Barcelona, I am a BIAP Postdoctoral Fellow, and I am a member of LOGOS and the Barcelona Institute for Analytic Philosophy (BIAP). At Cambridge, I am Co-Director of the project "Higher Values: Aesthetic Experiences, Transcendence & Prosociality" (2022-2025) with Simone Schnall.
I completed the majority of my postdoctoral work at the University of Cambridge. Prior to my current role, I was a María Zambrano Fellow at Barcelona. I've held visiting positions at the Institut Jean Nicod and Uppsala University.
I did my BSci in Natural Sciences (Biology, Psychology & Philosophy) at the University of Durham, my MA (Philosophy) at King's College London, and my PhD (Philosophy) at the Universities of Sheffield & Antwerp, where I was supervised by Dominic Gregory, Bence Nanay, and Stephen Laurence, examined by Jesse Prinz, Christopher Bennett and Arthur Cools, and funded by the British Society of Aesthetics and University of Antwerp.
I was awarded the 2024 Arthur Danto/American Society of Aesthetics Prize by the American Philosophical Association.
I'm also Chair of the iCog network, and from 2015-2018 was co-editor of the British Society of Aesthetics' journal Debates in Aesthetics.
